The picture on this Blu-ray was so awesome it practically comes out of your HDTV and into your living room. Amazingly sharp, with details that will blow you away, this sequel is good way to be entertained for an hour and a half. Kiele Sanchez playing Stella this time (taking over Melissa George) leaves Barrow, Alaska to inform the world that vampires are living amongst us. She hosts seminars and exposes vampires, while she's talking to prove it. It is pretty cool hw she does this and I won't ruin it for you. The main vampire this time around is Lilith (Mia Kirshner). She's a great choice because not only is she beautiful but there's a softness to her that plays against her being a brutal vampire queen. Just when you think you should snuggle up against her, she'll rip your head off. Kiele Sanchez dos a very good job as the lead as she keeps her performance grounded. I also felt her delicate features went against her actions, which makes for an interesting character visually. The tired Los Angeles locations are no match for the snowy Alaska locale use in the first movie but it still doesn't really hurt this movie. The dynamic music score by Andres Boulton is for me one of the film's two greatest strengths. I like how diverse the sounds are captured and the richness of the music composition. The other biggest attribute is the amazing visual look, which you have to compliment Director of Photography Eric Maddison and Director Ben Ketai. I'm sure there was some nice color correction and other post work to make DARK DAYS look so incredible both those two need to be recognized for outstanding work. This Blu-ray comes with an Audio Commentary and some informative behind the scenes Featurettes.
