A Tribute To John Chambers is a labor of love DVD capturing a loving event where the man who created the PLANET OF THE APES make-up is honored by his colleagues and peers who have looked up to him as one of the founding fathers of the Special Make-up for films world. It's amazing seeing how many make-up artists show up for the event. If you are like me and have been paying attention to the credits of films and TV shows, you will see a guest list that will boggle your mind, each of them having their own story of how John Chambers affected their lives and made them go on to become artists within the industry. Chambers himself is overwhelmed with the love and devotion shown to him. Some of the make-up artists who admire him dress up and apply the main characters from PLANET OF THE APES and even perform scenes from the movies in front of Chambers and the entire audience. This is a first class Event and the DVD captures the fondness for the man and those who look up to him as a father of their trade. This is definitely worth the price tag and will rekindle your fire for one of the masters of the field of make-up. scottessman@yahoo.com
