Review by Mike Porciello Ulli Lommell presents a documentary-like, independent take on the belief that what may or may not be the work of one man, dubbed The Baseline Killer, responsible for horrific crimes , during the spring of 2004, along Baseline Road, in the sweltering Phoenix, Arizona. At a get together, to celebrate the opening of an art gallery, unbeknownst to the women celebrating, they are being stalked by a sniper, armed with a sawed off shotgun. Rich in dialogue, you'll almost forget to remember what's around the corner, as these ladies, can sure act! The carnage (and believe me it's bloody!) begins, as the girls are mowed down, one by one, and held at the mercy of antagonist. Ulli Lommell builds a wall of suspense in this thriller! This October, I strongly recommend you hunt down, and view "Baseline Killer", as I chose this movie, not necessarily for it's gore, but more for it's suspense. The work of one man?, will leave you breathless as he plays out his game, turning the lights on and off, using both darkness and light to his advantage, to carefully plot his next move. Ulli Lomell weaves victim's back stories, and recollections into the dialogue, to add an extra dimension, into this intelligently crafted story. 2 thumbs up! www.barnholtzentertainment.visualnet.com
