This one takes you right back to the middle of the 80s in terms of fashion, songs and Italian gore.

I actually had never seen DEMONS 2 until now.  Though this movie is made with passion, the acting is really over the top with not an ounce of subtly.  I wonder if part of the problem was because it was made for the  Italian language.  But the actors reactions are not subdued so I don't think the translation is the culprit.

A young woman has a birthday party thrown at her apartment at the same time a horror movie with demons plays on TV.  After the demon is brought back to life on TV, during it's rampage it somehow sees the birthday woman watching and comes out of the TV into her room.  The proceeds THE RING by about twenty years.  After that all hell breaks loose.

Seeing all the yuppies with preppy clothes didn't make me miss the fashion of the 80s.  I love the music from the 80s, but the songs chosen for DEMONS 2 make the movie feel silly and corny but in a weird way it fits.

Sergio Stivaletti's transformation make-up FX are kind of cool, though they are a bit stiff and clumsy compared to what Rob Bottin, Rick Baker and Stan Winston were doing.

The thing that bothered me the most was the characters lack of reaction to putting up a fight when attacked by the demons.  As soon as a normal person saw a green or yellow eyed demon with fangs & claws, they'd run like hell or try to fight for survival.  Not everyone would just stand, stare and scream like a little girl.  Some of the characters fight back but now enough in a realistic way.
