Dracula- Blu-ray Echo Bridge Entertainment - 2011 Directed by Patrick Lussier |

The movie is loaded with entertainment value as you get some action, sexy vampires, gore and humor. It's amazing to see all he recognizable actors listed above in one movie. Gerard (300) Butler makes a menacing Dracula, Christopher (THE INSIDER) Plummer brings his wit & charm to Van Helsing. Justine Waddell plays the innocent woman some how connected to Dracula with equal measures of flair and grace. The storyline involves a group of modern day thieves breaking into a high security vault and find a silver coffin lined with silver crosses. Curious to the treasure inside, they open the coffin and unleash Dracula. The dark cold of the dead quickly heads to America to find his female counter part who resides in New Orleans. Jonny Lee Miller (from the super underrated TV series ELI STONE) plays a yond vampire hunter who must somehow stop Dracula's terrifying rage. Denise Cronenberg's costume design and Carol Spier's production design elevate the film way above the level of similar films. Lussier shares the first rate editing with Peter Devaney Flanagan. Peter Pau's cinematography is on full display with colors seeping out of each frame and Echo Bridge's Blu-ray transfer is superb. The only extra is an Audio Commentary by Patrick Lussier and Writer Joe Soisson. These two guys take a friendly professional approach to sharing how DRACULA 2000 was made. I most definitely recommend this.
