Review by Mike Porciello The fourth and final movie, this staff member recommends for this season of haunt, October 2009, is another independent gem from North American and Barnholtz called "Ghost Month". If you like to be entertained by being scared, and held in suspense, then this is the latest movie for you! Go nuke a bag of of popcorn, and come right back, ya hear! Follow the hot Alyssa (Marina Resa), as she is dispatched to a housekeeping job, where an Aunt and Niece (To and Shima) hold sacred to family traditions and heirlooms. According to belief, the seventh month of the Chinese calendar is when the souls of the departed are allowed to roam free, as the gates of hell are opened up. If you break the three rules (what are they? watch the movie and find out!) then you're in serious trouble. You might just join the dead prematurely! Things pop out of the
dark, as this roller coaster ride of emotions takes over
your living room. What starts out as a good old meets new fashioned ghost story, soon
becomes a tale of murder and suspense, as the plot thickens. It's
good versus evil, with morality as the referee, as "Ghost Month" enters your very soul. Happy Halloween!
