A business man hires a group of elite soldiers to help him uncover a secret hidden bunker in eastern Europe, while a war rages nearby.  What the soldiers don't anticipate is the battle they will face within the bunker.  Waiting for them is a group of supernatural entities that is more dangerous than anything they have ever faced.

This is a first class production in every sense of the word.  Beautiful European locations are captured gloriously with stellar camerawork, music and top-notch acting.  I like the concept a lot and the execution in making this film exceeds what you would expect.  OUTPOST is definitely one of the gems that will be released this year.

Ray Stevenson has huge screen presence and does so without much noise.  He's subtly powerful and is without question the leader of the group of soldiers.  I liked all the other cast members chosen as it's a nice mix of different races, nationalities and attitudes.  This could be in some ways described as a cross between THE THING and PREDATOR.

The only special feature is Deleted Scenes from the movie which are interesting, but I would have loved to seen a doc about the making of at the very least.

I'm going to keep my eye out for Steve Barker's films and do yourself a huge favor and pick this DVD by purchase or rental.  OUTPOST is potent and unexpected diamond in the DVD release market..
