An Investigation of a Texas
Legend: Exploring "The Texas Chainsaw" Movie Sites Written by Tim Harden & Keith Lewis Tim Harden, 2004
|
| This book is a treasure that
any film/horror fan would cherish. Its put together with such tender loving
care you almost feel like handling it like a piece of China. Ive been
looking for books about movie locations for years and finally someone has made one, about
a movie most horror fans love and done it right. This booklet is handmade and limited in
copies, so Id quickly go to the website to buy it using PayPal or credit card. The book is formatted like a case file you would have in a Police investigation. It comes spiral bound in a manila file folder so you will actually be holding a file. This gives the book a feel of reality mixed with creepiness that gels with the subject matter. The original locations used for THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE are incredibly documented. The Graveyard, The Gas Station, Grandparents House, The Dry Creek Bed, Shed, Watertower & Windmill, The Family House, Old County Road 172 & Driveway are all investigated. Not only do we get to see how they look today, but also the book has maps detailing how to find the locations. The photos are in color and I loved the aerial shots of Quick Hill, where Leatherfaces house is/was located. Ive never seen another book like Investigating A Texas Legend - Exploring The Texas Chainsaw Movie Sites. Tim Harden and Keith Lewis should win an award for their craftsmanship and detailed work. |
