The Caller Sony Pictures Home Entertainment - 2011 Directed by Matthew Parkhill |

The acting in the film is pretty grounded with Rachelle Lefevre (TWILIGHT) playing a troubled divorcee Mary Kee and Stephen Moyer (TRUE BLOOD) playing John Guidi the two main characters. I had a little trouble with getting through the movie because it's one of those films like THE SIXTH SENSE, THE OTHERS, PASSENGERS were you don't know if the characters are alive or dead. The problem I found that unless it's done right, the movie runs the risk of tripping over it's own two feet and alienating the viewer. For me there are some really good moments in the film and it is well made. I just wasn't crazy about this as a whole because of the overall story concept. On the good side, you've got a David Lynch like thriller that would probably give most people the creeps.
