The Dead Global Cinema Distribution - 2011 Written and Directed by Howard J. Ford

This film virtually doesn't let up as words are kept to a minimum, ala ROAD WARRIOR or DEAD CALM as he action never stops to keep you on the edge of your seat for 1-hour and 45-minutes. The movie boosts some impressive cinematography by Jon Ford and Imran Ahmad's score underscores the movie with mood and suspense. One of the biggest standout things about this movie is the absolutely stunning locations from the continent of Africa. The sun drenched dry landscape is sensationally scenic and creates a bleak mood that heightens the movie's power. I've read that these are locations that we've never seen on film before and I believe it. The gorgeous red sand deserts to the breathtaking rocky terrain at the end of the film will startle your eyes. Africa is the movie's extra lead character. The Ford brothers do an excellent job by making this film serious from the first second and they have some excellent action and gore FX contributed by Max Van De Banks. The acting in the movie is very realistic and I did really enjoy the way it was written and played out. In particular the friendship and respect developed between and American soldier Lt. Brian Murphy (Rob Freeman) and African solider Sgt. Daniel Dembele (Prince David Oseia) is crucial to the success of THE DEAD because you really learn to root for these two to make it out their grim situation. October is the month to see a horror movie because of Halloween. Everyone should want to see something spooky, creepy and maybe even disturbing. THE DEAD achieves all of those qualities in spades. Look for it to be playing in a theater near you. www.globalcinemadistribution.com info@globalcinemadistribution.com
