A nerdy student Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) survives a plague that turns the country into zombies by using his many fears to keep himself alive. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) who is fearless, crosses his path and they unite to keep each company and face the flesh eating ghouls together.
ZOMBIELAND is a undead movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. It is funny, I especially liked the rules that pop onto the screen at virtually any time and the cast is likable. I think I would have liked a little bit more focus on the horror aspects but that's being nitpicky. It essentially does what he film sets out to do, which is to entertain you for
approximately 88 minutes.
Woody Harrelson has rarely been better. The part seems tailor made for him and he runs with the character. Jesse
Eisenberg is likable though I found the character a bit annoying at times. Emma Stone is kind of a bad-ass chick who has a heart. Abigail Breslin makes the most of her scenes, at times stealing the show.
The image quality of this Blu-ray is fantastic. Deep, rich color sparkles on the screen and the sound matches the picture.
There's a bunch of cool Special Features which include; Deleted Scenes
which doesn't have anything that should have stayed in the cut.
Commentary with Actors Woody Harrelson & Jesse Eisenberg, Director Ruben Fleisher and Writers Rhett Reese & Paul
Wernick which I everyone makes fun and informative., Behind-the-Scenes with "In Search of
Zombieland" does a nice job of taking us behind the scenes. "Zombieland is Your Land"
- The Zombieficaton of the United States allows the production designer to
show what he did to create the sets and props used in the film. , Visual Effects
Progression Scenes and Theatrical Promo Trailers round out the extras.
Exclusive to the Blu-Ray is "Beyond the Graveyard" Behind the scenes
Picture-in Picture Track, Digital Copy of the film and movieIQ which connects you in real time to information about the
cast music, trivia while watching the movie.
ZOMBIELAND is cool, amusing and a treat for almost every viewer.
