Alice Cooper
The Nightmare Returns

UMe – 2006
Straight out of a true haunted house, Alice Cooper hits the stage with all his macabre fixings and produces a spook show sure to please any fan of horror or metal. Cooper’s theatricality is amazing, featuring all sorts of ghouls and ghastly things set on and around the stage. These actors dance and perform with Alice throughout the entire show, some of them becoming characters representing the words within the songs.

This show was shot in Detroit on Halloween 1987 during Alice Cooper’s 1986 tour. Universal has digitally overhauled and released this on DVD for the first time. The image quality and sound would be fun to jam to anytime of year, especially this witching season.

Most of Alice’s trademark songs are part of the show; “Schools Out,” “Welcome To My Nightmare,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “Cold Ethyl,” “Only Women Bleed” and “Billion Dollar Babies” are a few of the seventeen songs performed.

Two of my personal favorite Alice tunes come as Bonus Videos: “Teenage Frankenstein” and “Freedom.”

Alice’s band is pretty talented musicians, which featured muscled bound Kane Roberts on lead guitar and Kip Winger on Bass & backing Vocals.

Pick up this DVD and rock with The King of Shock.
