Between
Intervals Autumn Continent Spotted Peccary 2006 |
|
| Flowing with peaceful
tranquility this CD gently plays in the background during many of the things I do on a
weekly basis. Nobody listens to something that much unless it creatively stimulates,
relaxes and inspires. Autumn Continent is a huge sounding ambient album that is a mixture of dark and light. Between Intervals create enough audio space for you to fill in the blanks with whatever is going on in your life, whether it be action or just thoughts. I really appreciate this kind of spark in my daily life. The CD clocks-in over seventy-two minutes, so you get more than your moneys worth in audio time. The second track "Submerged" has a note pattern that sounds like rain drops falling down onto a moist surface. There is another keyboard part in this cue that feels like water dropping onto a puddle and then we hear the ripple effect of the notes traveling across the mix. Wonderful stuff. "Hidden Wastelands" is a vast area to catapult your creative thoughts. The music acts a vehicle to fuel your brain to focus on the innermost thoughts to accomplish what ever it is you want to do. Potent? Powerful? You bet. The fifth tune "Expanding Area" could aptly describe the effect this album will have on your mind and most likely the list of things you will get done when listening to this release. "Early Life Remainings" has a galloping push
sound that takes you towards something exciting and special. "Atrium" comes out
of your speakers like clouds rolling across a fall sky. Its dark but invigorating at
the same time. Between Intervals somehow knows how to balance music in such a way to not overburden the audio space with too much "noise" and yet completely stimulate passion. This is one of easiest CDs to listen to this year youd be glad to have it. Believe me. |
