Caught In The
Web Dreaming Up The World of Spider-Man 2 Written by Mark Cotta Vaz Titan Books 2004 |
|
| Caught In The Web
is a book explaining how SPIDER-MAN 2 was made. Mark Cotta Vaz writes how the art team
pulled off the movie using new techniques, high ambition to match filmmaker Sam
Raimis vision. The outstanding production design is the focus and its pretty impressive seeing how Production Designer Neil Spisak and his team went about designing and physically creating the sets, props, costumes and other visual aspects. The production design drawings from multiple artists, show imaginative drawings and you will appreciate the skill these people bring to the table. There are also stills from the movie so that you can see the how the pre-visualization was converted into reality and how close they came to the original design. Throughout the book you get quotes from the crew and even Director Sam Raimi. These comments give definition to the creation process and help you understand. Caught In The Web is laid out in such a wonderful way that it is impossible not to enjoy it. |
