Death Tunnel Sony Pictures Home Entertainment 2006 Written and Directed by Philip Adrian Booth Starring |

| Unfortunately this film is a wasted opportunity
with a good-looking cast and a great location. Five sexy girls are dared to spend the night in an abandoned TB sanitarium. What starts out as fun turns into a nightmare, where each of the five girls is haunted by ghosts within the asylum. The problem with this movie is that it was obviously shot on a short shooting schedule, and writer/director Philip Adrian Booth, (who looks like hes a member of the band Poison), over-zealously falls in love with the actresses rather than focusing on telling a scary story. The film almost comes off more as a Playboy video, than a horror film. To his credit, the film looks really great, and has a very strong soundtrack. The film was shot at the Waverley Sanitarium in Louisville, Kentucky, and is quite an impressive place. Though not as distinct, or large as Danvers State Hospital from SESSION 9, this location certainly is spooky. The DVD includes several special features. The behind the scenes featurette is really just a glorified EPK where cast and crew rave about how good the film is. "Death is in Fashion," is really a continuation of the objectifying of the female actors. Also included is a photo gallery. I was hoping for much more from DEATH TUNNEL, though it does titillate and boast a fascinating site for filming. |
