| A Native American
legend, buried deep in a cave in the mountains, breaks free to wreak havoc upon anyone who
enters its unsuspecting woods. A young park ranger Danielle St. Clair (Cerina Vincent)
manning a remote forest outpost, is put to the test to confront this beast and conquer her
inner demons at the same time. Cerina Vincent is certainly a looker. She first caught the my attention in CABIN FEVER and here she plays it a little more straight focusing on the emotion turmoil of her character. Director of Photography Jon Joffin (Masters of Horror) does an excellent job capturing the beauty of the mountains & woods and helps establish at times a creepy atmosphere. Tony Gardners make-up effects work well and shine despite a limited budget. Special Features include a Featurette: Blood On The Pines, which takes us behind the scenes to see how this film was made. There is also an Audio Commentary with Director Steven R. Monroe and Star Cerina Vincent. The two are pretty jovial with each other and make for an entertaining listen. The Trailer rounds out the supplements. IT WAITS is a surprisingly enjoyable film that will satisfy your hunger for a late night cinematic snack. |
