A modern take on Robert Lewis Stevenson’s classic tale, "The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde". A voluptuous brunette named Jackie (Gabriella Hall) inherits her grandfather’s castle. While rummaging through the estate, she happens upon a special potion that allows her to transform into anyone she desires. Jackie ends up becoming a hot model, to attract the town’s resident pin-up boy, and at one point, she becomes a man to experience the male end of the sexual spectrum. When she goes through her transformations side effects include violence, and death to others.

The movie is somewhat corny and silly, and is definitely not scary, but it is humorous and mildly erotic. It would seem as though Rolfe Kanefsky uses these reoccurring elements within his films, perhaps due to personal interest. It’s as if the plot line is merely an excuse to make such a film.

The fact that my copy of the DVD is unrated, allows for such scenes as this: at one point, Jackie becomes "Jacqueline" (Blythe Metz) and heads to the strip club. She sexually satisfies one of the dancers for the mere experience of a same-sex encounter, and in the process, completely drains her of her bodily fluids. When the stripper says, "you’re sucking me dry," Jacqueline responds with, "yeah, but I bet it felt good."

There are other sexually graphic scenes with no plot-evolving purpose, it’s just to draw an audience. Men, including Rolfe Kanefsky evidently, like seeing naked women, whether or not there’s a "good reason".

Special Features include a director/producer/cast commentary, which is pretty much a viewing party where we get to listen in on the audio. It comes also with, "Nothing to Hide", a 22 minute featurette, taking us behind the making of JACQUELINE HYDE. 20 minutes of "uncensored hot deleted/extended scenes", filmographies, trailer, and an animated still gallery.
