Jorn – Out To Every Nation
The End Records – 2004

This band comes out smoking with "Young Forever." Jorn Lande’s voice is like David Coverdale’s but a whole lot meaner. Jörn Viggo Lofstad’s guitar provides wicked nastiness in this first song. Lofstad sets up the rhythm fast, heavy and energetic. Stian Kristoffersen drums mash with Magnus Rosèn’s Bass.

"Out To Every Nation" has the feel of a classic heavy metal tune. Lande is especially Coverdale like in this tune. Ronny Tegner’s keyboards add atmosphere to this track.

I like the interplay between guitar bass and drums at the end of "Something Real."

Lande gives Ronnie James Dio a run for his money in "Living With Wolves." The music in this song kicks some serious ass. The beautiful mellow musical flow of "Vision Eyes" comes right after "Living With Wolves" ends, which is a perfect arrangement of two tracks. The band does some creative things within this fifth song, not your normal everyday metal song that’s for sure.

Jorn takes an environmental stance in the form "One Day We Will Put Out The Sun." Kristoffersen kills it on the double bass drums. I’m not talking about the boring machine gun repetitious double bass work so many death metal drummers provide but rather creative footwork done with authority.

Lande sings the vocals off the rhythmic quality the band creates for "Rock Spirit." It’s fun and dynamic rocking.

This is a very strong album from a seriously talented group of musicians.
