Mad Hot Ballroom
Paramount Home Entertainment – 2005

Directed by Marilyn Argrelo
Written by Amy Sewell

MAD HOT BALLROOM is a fascinating documentary that follows a class of New York City 4th and 5th graders as they enter into competitive ballroom dancing. Watching the kids face their fear of peer-acceptance is touching, funny and uplifting.

You’ll really come to love some of these children, and root for them to succeed. You literally see the children grow up on the screen, and see how it affects the adults who lead them.

The movie is rated G, running just over an hour and a half, and it is something that everyone should see. Watch MAD HOT BALLROOM to see 6000 kids from 60 schools compete for 10 weeks for 1 dream.
