Make Love the
Bruce Campbell Way Written by Bruce Campbell Thomas Dunne Books / St. Martins Press
2005 |
|
| EVIL DEAD star Bruce
Campbell has written his second book. This time he has written a novel that tells the
story of Campbells attempt to become an "A" list actor. The book reads
fast and is a wild, entertaining read. Campbell imagines himself being cast in a Mike Nichols film called "Lets Make Love." He is cast as a doorman named Foyl Hightower opposite Richard Gere and Renee Zellwegger. Wanting to do a good job in the role, he goes on a quest to learn all the skills he would need to play the doorman character. This takes Campbell all over the country on a wild goose chase to become the role. Things never turn out like Campbell plans, leading to self-depreciating humor and slapstick action that would make the Three Stooges smile. Youre sure to laugh many times throughout the book with Campbells zany mind, wacky dialogue and absurd, yet somewhat realistic situations. There is many times that you will ask yourself how much of this fictional novel is based on Bruce Campbells life. MAKE LOVE THE BRUCE CAMPBELL WAY doesnt take too much concentration to imagine and its a good way to lighten things up for a bit while you go about the hectic, busy challenges of life. |
