The ART of X2
Collectors Edition Including the Complete Script Titan Books 2003 ISBN 1-84023-749-X $29.99, 264 pages |
|
| Released in hardcover with 375 Illustrations and
soft cover 160 pages with 300 illustrations, The ART of X-2 is an excellent behind the
scenes book. The Collectors edition includes special sections of Nightcrawler
posters and art of the first X-MEN film. The production design of X-2 is pretty incredible and is well represented within the book with drawings and production photos. The enormity of Guy Dyas work is pretty awesome. The photos in the book also allow you to appreciate the richness of Newton Thomas Siegels cinematography. The colors nearly jump off the page and Titan Books have put everything on thick color enriching paper. Fans of Hugh Jackman, Halle Barry and the other X-MEN cast will never get tired of looking at the gorgeous pages. The section focusing on the Nightcrawler character is outstanding and gives you more details than you can get from just watching the movie. Reading the script was very nice. I was able to envision the film within my own mind but I couldnt help but always go back to the tremendous work Bryan Singer engineered with his talented cast and crew. Behind the scenes movie books have become more popular and common within the marketplace. I am thankful for this and hope it continues to grow. But its not often you see the high quality level of perfection that The ART of X-2 Collectors Edition achieves. |
