A kidnapping plan is bumbled by two cantankerous siblings. The two brothers and their friend take a mouthy blonde Tracey (Jennifer Ellison) to an out of the way cottage to take refuge until getting the ransom they desire. But they are no match for the girl's foul mouth and impressive bust-line as she almost single handily dispatches them. The girl gets the upper hand and looks like she will get away but before that happens, a monstrous axe-wielding neighbor interrupts their fun and limbs start to to fly. This is a crowd-pleaser that will have you in stitches laughing and then gasping at the gruesome exuberance. Writer-Director Paul Andrew Williams balances both sides of the film's strengths will equal authority. I've never heard of him before but I won't forget his name now. Andy Serkis (THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY) plays David the leader and Reece Shearsmith (SHAUN OF THE DEAD) is his idiot brother Peter. Jennifer Ellison steals much of the movie with her obnoxious mouth and bustling cleavage. Paul Hyett's Special Make-Up Effects are impressive assortment of prosthetic shenanigans. I haven't seen this much blood in a while and in some ways the film feels like a throw-back to the heyday of splatter effects. Special Features include Deleted Scenes, Outtakes and Storyboard Gallery. I enthusiastically recommend seeing this film. It would be great for a large group event or just for yourself.
