The Hunted Music by
Brian Tyler Varese Sarabande 2003 |
|
| Pulse pounding percussion drives this energetic
score. "Asymmetric Rhythms", "Disordered Patterns" kick this
soundtrack into an aggressive attack mode that never lets up. "Tracking Hallam"
reinforces this approach and could be considered the main theme, which is scattered
throughout the score. As far as music composers, Brian Tyler is the real thing. Tyler places beautiful soft touches throughout this action score that elevate THE HUNTED way above the competition. Tylers sense of melody is awesome and shines over the entire CD. I love the soft piano notes floating in "Winter Shift." Distorted keyboards, heavy bass and huge deep drums with flute highlights in "Machinations" moved me. Brian Tyler has a firm grasp on how to create tension. In "Coda Con Furiosa" he has the brass and flutes take the cue to the high ledge of suspense. Screaming brass in "Over the Falls" will startle you out of your seat. The threat of doom hovers over "A Vision of War." The culmination of Brian Tylers cinematic music vision for THE HUNTED comes together in "Mirror Image."The album concludes with "The Man Comes Around" a song performed by Johnny Cash. Whether youve seen this film or not, it would be more than worth your while to check out this CD. I'm fairly certain you will enjoy it and quickly become a fan a Brian Tyler. |
