THE RING is within this book. Author Denis Meikle goes back to the original novel, TV
movies, Japanese feature films and finally American remakes to tell the story of the power
THE RING has held over the world. Meikle puts THE RING in context against other gothic ghost stories, and supernatural tradition in Japan and details how THE RING has influenced countless films since it’s inception. Passages from the novel are compared against the films that were made, and you even find out how different the 2nd and 3rd novels were, versus the motion pictures. I can’t see anything written about THE RING that could tell you more than this book. |
