Udo Thunderball AFM Records 2004 Udo Dirkschneider returns with a new album that delivers 11 heavy metal tracks with ACCEPT like execution. ACCEPT band mate Stefan Kaufmann co-wrote all the songs with Udo and when you hear "Thunderball" and "Arbiter" you will hear the ACCEPT similarity. |
|
| Udo snarls "Pull The Trigger" the only
way he can, which is the first of many songs that focus on the military combat interest of
the band. "Fistful of Anger" continues along the lines of fighting, guns and
terrorist acts. Lorenzo Milanis double bass drums drive "Hell Bites Back."
Then Kaufmann and Igor Gianola combine for a double solo. "Trainride In Russia" shows the bands humorous side. From listening and reading the lyrics it tells the tale of the band traveling to Russia and have a good time with the fans and ladies there. Igor Gianola adds a foot pedal controlled high pitch effect to his solo in "The Bullet and the Bomb" and plays his most soulful solo in "The Magic Mirror." The way Kaufmann establishes the guitar rhythm of "Tough Luck" you would think that you were listening to Accepts Metal Heart or Russian Roulette album. The band ends the disc with a mellow tune called "Blind Eyes." |
