With the multitude of
artists, and musical styles that Sweden has to offer, this one strikes me
as pretty interesting. Urbandux , a progressive/industrial band, has put
out an album entitled "The Aftermath"
on P.R.O. Records, that I recommend you purchase to augment your October
experience!
With all of the occult oriented bands to emerge from Sweden, it's good to
hear something that sounds a little different. Opening with
"Disconnected", the core lineup of vocalist DemonZ, guitarist extraordinaire
JP, bassist Richard Martos, and drummer Zoltan Csorsz (who appears as a
hired musician) will leave you guessing as to what awaits.
Seriously, some of these songs will pulverize you, and some of these
songs, like "Miranda", you could probably hear on a soft-rock
satellite station at a family restaurant. Sweden sure is an interesting
place for
music, and these guys don't play around! This CD will truly grow on you.
Also, if you can get your
hands on it, check out their EP "Another Brick In The Wall", as
they cover the Pink Floyd classic, and offer you two songs from "The
Aftermath"; those songs being "Bozo", an all over the place
rocker, and the alternative flavored "Seltzer Water".
Both album and EP are copyrights 2008 P.R.O. Records
